Sunday, July 1st, 2007 - We will remember them

Happy Canada Day!

Another gorgeous sunny day, although a little chilly and a bit too much a breeze for my liking. The excitement today? Nan came to Mass! First time since the last time Maggie and I were here at the end of March. All things considered, it took very little convincing, and it sure did her a world of good. "Thank God I got to out to Mass", she intoned several times throughout the day. Thank God?! God had nothing to do with it - thank Jenn!

In the afternoon Grandma and Maggie and I went to the Legion for the ceremony marking the battle of Beaumont-Hamel. A small but dedicated crowd. And when we got home, Maggie practiced folding her tongue!
