Monday, July 28th, 2008 - Rainy days and Mondays

Today dawned hot and sunny - the perfect day to be in Calvert. Maggie wanted to do "something special" with Mom, so we decided on cleaning out the van! She was a great help in all stages, but her favourite was the hosing things down at the very end.



The reward after our hard work was a birthday package that arrived from Uncle John. So exciting! And although it was Maggie's birthday package, there were treats in it for everyone, including an iPod for Mom! Thanks Uncle John!



After a picnic lunch we made a quick call over the beach and set up a trip to Rocky Pond for a dip. All hands had fun, but the water temperature really threw the boys for a loop. Their swimming destination of choice is the warm kiddie pool at the Aquarena. They were adamant in their decision to stay on the edge and just throw rocks.



We joined Kris and the gang for another boat trip after lunch, then a seafood BBQ on the deck for supper. Aaah, vacation....Tonight Bomber arrives and then everything will be perfect.
